In November 2003, the Chair worked with the Société du Palais des congrès de Montréal on the first convention industry symposium, "Catching the Wave of Global Change!"

In collaboration with Vélo Québec, the Chair helped organize the conference, "Tourism, Cycling and the Route verte" (June 1999). It also helped organize the 1994 and 1995 ACTA-Quebec conventions as well as two seminars offered by the Canadian Tourism Research Institute: "Travel Technology Solutions" and "Tourism Outlook 1997."
